Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach (1988) is a comedy film directed by Alan Myerson. It is the fifth installment in the popular Police Academy film series.

The film follows the wacky adventures of the misfit police officers from the Police Academy as they travel to Miami Beach for a convention. Led by their commanding officer, Captain Harris (G.W. Bailey), the officers find themselves caught up in a series of hilarious mishaps and chaotic situations.

Upon arriving in Miami Beach, Captain Harris is determined to win the "Municipal League Efficiency Award" and prove that his precinct is the best. However, his rival, Captain Mauser (Art Metrano), is equally determined to win the award. As the competition heats up between the two, their antics provide endless entertainment for both the audience and the other officers.

The men and women of the Police Academy quickly find themselves in the middle of various shenanigans. Whether they're accidentally destroying a luxury hotel, chasing criminals, or wreaking havoc on the streets of Miami Beach, chaos follows them wherever they go.
